To Configure a Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows ME system for DSL using an Intel 3200, simply follow this procedure:
Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'Programs'-> 'Accessories' -> 'Dial-Up Networking'.
(If you are using Windows ME, click 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Dial Up Networking'.)
From the Dial Up Networking window, double click 'Make New Connection'
In the box labeled 'Type a name for the computer you are dialing', enter TCQ Internet. Select the Intel 3200.
Click 'Next'.
Enter the telephone number 0,32. Leave the 'Area Code' box blank.
Click 'Next'.
Click Finish'.
There will now be an icon called 'TCQ Internet' in the Dial Up Networking window. Click 'TCQ Internet' once with the right mouse button, click 'Properties' with the left mouse button.
Select the 'General' tab. Verify that 0,32 is entered for a telephone number.
Click 'Networking'.
Verify that only 'Enable software compression' and 'TCP/IP' are checked.
Click 'OK'
At the Dial Up Networking window, double click TCQ Internet.
Click the 'Connect' button to connect.
Once you have connected, you can open and use any Internet program you wish.
To have your computer connect automatically, click 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'. Double click on 'Internet Options'. Click the 'Connections' tab, and select 'Always dial my default connection'. (If you have more than one connection, select your TCQ Internet connection and click 'Set Default')
Click OK. Configuration for Windows 95/98 & ME systems for DSL with an Intel 3200 modem is now complete.
