To begin configuring a Windows 2000 system for DSL access using an Intel 2100 or 2200 modem, click 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'. From the Control Panel, double click 'Network and Dial-up Connections'
At the Welcome screen, click 'Next'
Select 'Dial-up to the Internet'.
Click 'Next'.
Select 'I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network'.
Click Next
Select 'I connect through a phone line and a modem'.
Click 'Next.
Select the Intel 2100 modem. Click 'Next'.
In the box labeled 'Telephone number', enter 1,1. Leave the area code box empty, and the box 'Use area code and dialing rules' unchecked.
Note: If using the Intel 2200 modem, use 0,32 for the Telephone number.
Click 'Next'.
Enter your TCQ Internet username and password in lower case letters in the correct field.
Click 'Next.
In the box labeled 'Connection name', enter TCQ Internet.
Click 'Next'.
Select 'Yes' for 'Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now'.
Click 'Next'
Select 'Create a new Internet account'.
Click 'Next'.
For 'Display name', enter how you want your name to appear in your e-mail messages.
Click 'Next'.
In the box labeled 'E-mail address', enter your TCQ Internet e-mail address
Click 'Next'.
Select 'POP3' as an incoming mail server. Enter pop.tcq.net for the 'Incoming mail server' and smtp.tcq.net as the 'Outgoing mail server'.
Click 'Next'.
Enter your TCQ username for 'Account name' and your TCQ password in the box labeled 'Password'.
Click 'Next'.
Click 'Finish'.
To connect to the Internet, just click 'Dial'.
Once you are connected, you can begin using your Internet programs.
