Before configuring the Remote Access dialer, make sure that TCP/IP is configured. To check this, click the Apple icon, click Control Panels and select TCP/IP.

 

Enter the Name server address: 208.12.112.2 and 208.12.112.3. For 'Additional Search Domains', enter tcq.net.

 

Click 'Options'. 

 

 

Select 'Active' and check the box 'Load only when needed.

 

 

Click OK and close the TCP/IP screen. To start Remote Access, go into 'Control Panel' and select 'Remote Access'

 

From the toolbar at the top, click 'Edit' and 'User Mode', select 'Basic', then click OK.

 

 

In the field labeled 'Name', enter: username@tcq.net

 

(Replace 'username' with your assigned username)

 

Enter your assigned password.

 

In the field labeled 'Number', enter the Dial-Up access number found in the Call Finder for your area, including area code. 

 

Before clicking connect, click 'Options'.

 

 

Select 'Protocol'. Check the first 3 boxes, and click OK.

 

 

You are now ready to use Remote Access. Click 'Connect'.

208.12.112.3 *

 

* We highly recommend that you select 'Server Assigned DNS' in your dialer, instead of using an IP address.

smtp.tcq.net
